- In an Asgard Deck, this card is great as a means to discard Ice Blade, Joker. For one Gauge, you can destroy one of your opponent's Set Spells and call a monster to your field.
- You can use the above combo to destroy your own Gleipnir so as to call both the monster within its Soul and Ice Blade, Joker, giving yourself a really strong field. Even better if the monster in Gleipnir's Soul was either Demon Wolf, Fenrir or Moon Wolf, Managarmr, allowing you to attack your opponent with 2 strong monsters on the turn you perform this.
- As an alternative, you could discard Ice Blade "Astralkus" so as to have a monster that can act as both a decent wall and attacker on your field.
